Understand the rationale and necessity for integrating evidence – based trauma treatment protocols into existing treatment approaches for eating disorders (EDs) Explain the basic tenets of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and how it can be adapted to traumatized ED patients Describe three key psychoeducation teaching points to help patients understand the link between their eating disorder and trauma reactions Describe new results indic ating that both PTSD symptoms and ED symptoms may be successfully treated together in a residential treatment program .
